Statement of Purpose
The purpose of the Reproductive Health Interest Group (RHIG) is to bring students in the UCLA School of Public Health together to learn about and discuss reproductive health issues, share information and engage in service/advocacy projects related to reproductive health.

Voting Privileges
All RHIG members who are registered UCLA students are eligible to vote.

Voting Procedures
RHIG members will be notified by e-mail at least two weeks prior to the date of the election of officers. All votes will be held in a designated room on the UCLA campus. The vote will be conducted with those students present on the day and time chosen for the vote. A two-thirds majority is required to pass any motion.

All votes outside of elections will be limited to the officers of the organization, as designated below.

Organizational Structure
Offices, including president, and subcommittee chairs will be filled in an annual election each spring academic quarter. These officers will meet to conduct RHIG business on at least a quarterly basis. Elections may take place at any time during the academic year, in the occasion that an officer post needs to be filled.

Operating Instructions
The RHIG will hold meetings at least once per quarter in the School of Public Health.

Provision of Financial Records
The president and subcommittee chairs will track all financial transactions. These reports and records will be made available to University Officials upon request.

Amendments to the Constitution
Officers can propose and vote on amendments to the Constitution. A simple majority passes any amendments. Amendments to this Constitution can be made only at meetings of the officers.

Non Discrimination Policy
In accordance with applicable Federal and State law and University Policy, RHIG does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, medical condition, ancestry, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or status as a Vietnam era Veteran or special disabled veteran. RHIG also prohibits sexual harassment.

This non-discrimination policy covers organizational membership, access to organization programs and activities, and the general treatment of members in the organization.
